Participants and Admission

Candidates who can be admitted to the Postgraduate Programme “Palaeontology-Geobiology” are holders of bachelor degree in Geology or Biology or equivalent degrees, recognized by the Interdisciplinary Organisation for the Recognition of Academic Qualifications and Information.

The number of postgraduate students per year is determined each academic year by the CC (maximum 20) and may not be filled if the level of candidates is not deemed appropriate. At the beginning of July of each year, by decision of the CC, an official notice for the admission of postgraduate students for the following academic year is published and candidates are invited to submit their applications to the Secretariat of the Program with a deadline set in the notice.

The candidate must submit the following supporting documents:

  1. a) An application form and a documented expression of interest
  2. b) Bachelor degree
  3. c) Certificate of studies with detailed grades of all undergraduate courses (Diploma Supplement).
  4. d) Curriculum Vitae
  5. e) Certificate of knowledge (C2/C2 or C1/C1) of the English language.
  6. f) Evidence of any research and writing activity, participation in student mobility programs, as well as professional experience relevant to the field of the Program
  7. g) A pdf coy of identity card (EU citizens) or passport.
  8. h) An open Letter of Support

The selection is made on the basis of the total number of points obtained by taking into account the criteria laid down in Article 34, Law No. 4485/2017, and described in the Operating Regulation (Government Gazette 1824/B/23-5-2019).
